Positive: We stayed for 7 nights during the February half term. The accommodation is a very good size for a family of 4 and in a really nice location. Lovely views across the local fields towards Burythorpe church. The owner kindly left a bottle of wine and some cake for us on arrival, which was nice. We stayed during a cold snap during February and the underfloor heating was very effective, so there were no issues with staying warm. The lounge and dining area is cavernous. The kitchen was well-equipped with decent space and cooking facilities. The washing machine was useful to have and the airing cupboard dried clothes very quickly. We walked to the Bay Horse Inn for dinner on a couple of evenings. It's only 0.7 miles each way and is a really nice authentic Yorkshire pub (bring a torch for the walk back). Great food, beers and drinks selection. Recommended. Pizza night on Wednesday was excellent. Malton is only 10 minutes in the car and handy for shopping etc. We would stay again at the price we paid, which we thought represented excellent value for money.

Negative: The only issue (and I'm being picky) was that there were a few cobwebs in places throughout the accommodation.
