Summary: This is a hard review to write - because I want to get the balance right here. The hotel itself is stunning. The people super friendly. The rooms immaculate and clean. HOWEVER…for over 24 hours of our stay we had incredibly loud generator going outside of our bedroom. No sleep at all at night - and during the day we couldn’t use the balcony that we paid extra for. The management didn’t seem at all interested in making any consolidatory gestures…just hard lined it - not our fault. My suggestion would be that anyone being allocated to our room are warned and made aware that if there is a need for the generator to kick in it will be like they are inside the engine of a jumbo jet plane - and sleep will be impossible! Such a pity as it really impacted what would have been one of our best stays whilst touring Brazil.
