We’ve found often times guests, especially grandparents or older adults who can’t be in the sun, love to sit/stay on the beautiful decks that provide shaded areas (especially awesome on hot sunny days), for seating, outside dining, game playing, or just reading a book and relaxing without the hassle of dragging everything (food, snacks & drinks) down in the sand, but still feel like they’re part of the action on the beach, not missing a single memorable moment

The WHOLE house delivers the enjoyment of 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, two great rooms, two full sized kitchens, one on EACH floor. The whole house will sleep up to 14, 10 in traditional beds, plus 4, for a maximum total of 14, if you are utilizing the 2 queen sleeper sofa beds in EACH GREAT ROOM. The NIGHTLY RATE pricing you see listed, for the dates between SundayJune 1, 2024, through September 1, 2024 IS for the WHOLE house.

The unsurpassed views and flexible outdoor living space on the outdoor covered decks (500 sq ft. each floor) run the entire oceanside length of the home on both floors, (The 1,000 sq ft of outdoor living and dining on the decks is almost the size of a 2 bedroom condo here on Harbor.)

There's plenty of outdoor seating providing dining and smaller tables on each outdoor deck, upstairs and downstairs, for the ultimate in versatile vacationing while relaxing and enjoying the waves against your seemingly private beach and boardwalk to the white sandy beach below.

Harbor Island is a private gated barrier island community just slightly over an hours drive to Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head and about 20 minutes to Beaufort SC. You’ll love the over 2.5 miles of private, uncrowded, white sandy beaches filled with birds, marine life, sea turtles nesting in the summer, and vibrantly sparkling star gazing lit up evenings.

Watch for nesting endangered loggerheads turtles that nest annually May-September on the beach directly in front of the home EVERY year. Walk with the turtle patrol at sunrise as you learn to look for the telltale signs that a momma has given birth to over 100 eggs in a nights labor.

Harbor Island is adjacent to Hunting Island State Park (SC’s most popular park), and the St Helena Sound/Ace Basin This secluded location provides a bit calmer beach in the summertime than other areas in SC, providing a variety of smaller lapping waves, ideal for paddle boarding, kayaking and families with children, seniors or guests with mobility challenges. Based on daily and or seasonal wind conditions, you can also have higher waves for surfing, bogie boarding and body surfing. Fishing and crabbing is ideal all over the island depending on what you desire to catch.

Your resort/car pass gate fee, (collected by the HIOA depending on the number of nights staying ) provides you complimentary access to all the amenities on the island like the crabbing docks, bird wildlife alligator viewing areas, putting green, as well as numerous activities and FREE equipment rental at the Beach and Racquet Club such as the pools, (kiddie and extra large community) playground, sand volleyball, tennis, pickle ball, basketball, and shuffleboard. There is a green area with fire pit for private functions such as weddings, etc. or for community use. In the summer free wildlife programs and presentations on wildlife, federally protected and migratory birds who enchanting our island, and endangered species we are privileged to share our island with.
