Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was fantastic—walkable to shopping, restaurants, etc. The unit has tons of windows and natural light. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Most basic necessities provided.

Negative: While the unit’s interior appears to have been recently updated, the building itself could use some TLC. Also, the couch in this unit is in desperate need of repair or replacement. Both ends of it have a reclining feature and neither works properly. We reclined one end and could never get it to close again. The dishwasher was also inoperable during our stay. We did contact the owner and they quickly responded saying that they would send someone out the next morning to assess and repair, but that never happened. While everything appeared clean at a surface level, we discovered peeling paint and mold in the window casing of the primary bedroom on our last morning there. We hadn’t noticed it earlier because we hadn’t opened the drapes wide enough to reveal it prior to then.

Summary: Great location in Galway, but needs some TLC.
