Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Spacious, charming and well-furnished house in a delightful rural location with great views. We enjoyed the large kitchen and living space, comfortable beds, big garden and quiet location.

Negative: The cleanliness was not great. We found make-up smears in bathrooms, thick dust on skirtings, dead insects etc. Also we felt some of the requests to clean and tidy the property on departure were a bit excessive - eg sorting dirty laundry, putting away garden furniture, clean fridge etc. We think the owners need to spend more on cleaning services. While the house was generally well equipped, we were not provided with several basic items including bin liners, salt, shower gel, scrubbing pad to clean pans. This was particularly problematic as the house is 15 minutes drive from the nearest shop.

Summary: Spacious modern property in a beautiful location, but more attention to detail needed.
