The space
This exquisite two villa development is set in a stunning location on the top of a hill at the location of Vatsa, only 3 km from the world famous blue star beach of Xi and 6 km from the second largest town of Kefalonia, Lixouri. The villas are located within 200m from the two local beaches of Vrahinari and Vatsa and enjoy uninterrupted, panoramic sea and mountain views. Each Villa has its own private patio and pool, villa 2 has a big 400 m2 paved patio and a parallelogram shaped pool and has its ground floor completely flat and the twin downstairs bedroom enjoys a wet room, for people that have mobility issues or for people that use a wheelchair..
Both villas enjoy southern views towards the sea as well as panoramic views to the nearby hills and valleys.
Imagine yourself sitting, relaxing, and watching big and small boats going by at the Ionian Sea below you as you enjoy a cool drink to quench your thirst and cool you down whilst you hear the sound of the waves from the two beaches (Vatsa and Vrahinari) a stone's throw away.
Coast/Beach
Vatsa is a unique hideaway, on top of a hill overlooking the Ionian sea. There are two local beaches within 200 meters from the villas. One is Vatsa beach the other one is Vrahinari beach. Vatsa beach is also a place of unique natural beauty, where the only river on Kefalonia flows into the sea. From the balcony or the pool patio you can enjoy the nature and the sounds of the birds and the waves as they softly, playfully kiss the sand on the nearby beaches.
Guest access
It is recommended that you have a car hired well in advance.(We can help you secure a car hire if you haven't arranged one, as we have arranged special discounts for our guests with a local reputable company that also Sundio group is using).
When you arrive, it may be best from the airport that you drive to Argostoli ferry port and you take the ferry to Lixouri. The drive from the airport to the port is 10 minutes and the ferry takes 25 minutes to take you from Argostoli to Lixouri. There is a ferry every 30 minutes. The villa is 8 km from Lixouri port and should take you 15 minutes drive from Lixouri port.
Directions will be sent to you and the key will be given to you when you arrive. You will also be given a friendly user manual for the villas
Other things to note
Vatsa villas have been designed to European housing standards. The hot water is solar powered and the first time of the day you run the hot water tap (or a shower) you need to set the control in the middle and then wait for a minute for the water to come through. Do not get in the shower straight away to avoid getting scolded. First set the hot water appropriately.
The toilets have been designed to European standards and the toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet, unlike most of the houses and restaurants / hotels you will go in Greece that will have signs to place the paper in a bin provided next to the toilet.
There is ADSL Internet (10 Mbps) to the villas and free WiFi is provided.
