Positive: N.B. We were a family of 4 - I was not a solo traveller. The villa is in a very peaceful, quiet location with great views south. We were undisturbed by the caretakers although they always responded quickly if we had an issue and helped us when we locked ourselves out. The villa has all the facilities you need though not very modern. Wi-Fi is pretty good.
Negative: Anyone considering this villa needs to understand how difficult access is. I am a very experienced driver on mountain roads but the roads/tracks to this villa are serious! Driving on unsurfaced, narrow roads with steep hairpins and poor visibility of what is coming the other way in an unfamiliar rental car is no joke. You are led there by the caretaker because of this. The final hairpin has a 45 degree incline and I had to ask everyone to get out of the car and it took 3 attempts! It made us think twice about going out. One of the pool jets became very noisy and I asked if there was anything that could be done. The caretakers came out very quickly and fixed the noise but by the next day the pool was green and cloudy. We were accused of swimming with suncream on but algae had formed because the pump had been turned off while they’d fixed the jet. We had no use of the pool for 4 days. Nothing has been done in response to previous comments about lack of shade. TV is very small and not 'smart' so you'll need a Firestick. It would be nice to have a few more pillows.
Summary: Very peaceful but stressful to get to.
