This is a gorgeous 1902 fully remodeled and renovated Victorian: it's located in Mapleton Hill, one of the oldest and dreamiest neighborhoods in Boulder, just minutes by foot or bike to shops, cafes, and restaurants. While walking distance to pearl street, you are only a 10-minute walk from the lovely hiking trails of Mount Sanitas and Sanitas Valley.
The house has high ceilings, wooden floors, and an open floor plan tastefully furnished with an elegant mix of antique and modern furniture. The kitchen, which was featured in Mapelton Hill's Kitchen Tour, has cathedral limestone countertops, custom-built cabinetry, and top-of-the-line appliances. It opens into the living and dining area featuring a bay window and wood-burning fireplace. Downstairs has a large bedroom with a high-end queen pull-out couch (American Lether - full steel base with foam mattress), and a spacious desk where you can work overlooking the green nicely landscaped front garden. The rest of the downstair floor features a bathroom with a claw foot bathtub, breakfast nook, and laundry room. From the kitchen, you can step out to the backyard with a hardwood deck. Here up to six people can enjoy dining under an old apple tree. Upstairs master bedroom connects to a master bathroom with a view of the mountains, sky-light window, claw foot bathtub, and modern spa-like shower. Two adorable smaller bedrooms share a bath. Each of these bedrooms has a twin bed with comfortable mattresses.
Other great features: - central air conditioning and whole house fan. - fenced in front yard with lovely maintained landscaping. - wifi - flatscreen tv - energy efficient new stacked washer and dryer - plenty of parking spots with guest permit.
RESIDENT KITTIES: Hannah and Emma are two adorable cat sisters that reside in our home. We have automatic litter boxes so no need to do any litter cleaning, but we'd ask that you help feed them. They love kids and are super friendly! Treat yourself to a restful stay in a modern and elegant space (perfect also for families with children)! We have not rented out our home for quite a few years as we started to use HomeExchange instead. We now look forward to finding great guests that would like to enjoy our home at a discounted rate in exchange for giving our cats some love.
