Entering this waterfront neighborhood filled with lakefront homes welcomes you with a feeling of peaceful luxury. Pulling into the driveway, while the neighbors are very close, you can often feel the breeze from the lakefront. The Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area is conveniently just across the lake. Stepping into this lake house, the openness pulls you toward the fresh, modern layout with the sleek, stylish furnishings. The contemporary look allows you to dream away while soaking in you time on Pontiac Lake.
The kitchen is large and inviting with plenty of counter space. The kitchen island doubles as both a prep and dining area for your casual meals. Watching the lake as you both cook and enjoy your meal together is a unique experience for most.
Nonetheless, thought has been put into how to capture a few minutes of work while your family vacations, or as you live the professional nomadic lifestyle with a designated work space.
At the end of the day, convenience is what captures a true vacation. The two (2) Master Bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other upstairs, both have en suite bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms are also divided between the upper and main levels, along with the 2 additional bathrooms. Another unique quality of this lake house is ability to do laundry. While it's never required on vacation, if you packed light, need to dry a bathing suit or just want to return home with suitcases of clean clothes, we have you covered. There is a washer/dryer on both the main and the upper levels.
Don't forget to spend your time outdoors with the soft cushioned chairs while you enjoy the fire pit, outdoor dining and grill. Aaahh... those summer nights... After a restful nights sleep in the king bed, that morning sunrise may lure you to rise early. Boats: There are two kayaks available after Memorial Day. Last Resort Boat Marina has pontoon boat rentals is just a few minutes away! (1.5 miles). Kayaks are usually put away around Labor Day (weather permitting).
Boat Launch: The Pontiac Lake Recreation Area boat launch is 4 minutes away! (1.8 miles)
Bugs: Mosquitoes are common in this area

Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fire-pit: The firepit is located in the backyard of the property. There is a standard firepit and also a propane fire table.

Parking: 4 cars or 3 cars plus trailer. You will have to disconnect the trailer in front of the garage. There is not room to leave the trailer connected and park. The driveway is not deep enough. Please do not park on the grass.
Pets: 2 pet max. Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
