A small lake with bathing jetty and playground is approx. 1.3 km away and a small pub is just under 200 m away. Further restaurants, shops, a train station and a bathing area at the Oberuckersee lake can be found in Warnitz, approx. 3 km away.
Built in 2015, the approx. 70 m² non-smoking house for up to 4 people is spread over two floors. On the first floor there is a large living room (sofa bed - extra bed, fireplace incl. firewood, flat screen TV, dining counter) with open kitchen (electric stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, various small kitchen appliances) and the modern bathroom with shower, toilet and towel warmer (electric heating). The sleeping facilities (1 room with 2 single beds, 1 open area with 1 bed, 1.40 m wide) are accessible via an open staircase. ATTENTION: low ceiling height of approx. 1.70 m!
There is also free W-LAN, bicycle storage, parking, a covered seating area with barbecue & wood-burning stove and seating next to the house. Bicycle rental is available on request for a fee. There is also a vacation apartment for up to 4 people on the property. (DZV750)
The total price includes final cleaning, water and energy consumption as well as bed linen and towels. To be paid on site: Bicycles (if desired) 3 EUR/bike/day. Pets are not allowed in this property.
Melzow is a settlement of the Warnitz district in the municipality of Oberuckersee and is idyllically situated in one of the largest protected areas in Germany, in the UNESCO biosphere reserve Schorfheide-Chorin, on the edge of the Melzower Forst nature reserve. Extensive forests, meadows and moors as well as the hilly landscape shaped by the Ice Age with large and small lakes offer undisturbed spaces for many endangered animal and plant species. The region, located between Prenzlau, Templin and Angermünde and just over an hour's drive from the capital Berlin, is ideal for a natural and varied vacation. In the village itself there is a beautiful viewpoint, the Wietblick, and a small lake with a bathing jetty and playground. 3 km away, the Oberuckersee lake is ideal for swimming, canoeing, sailing, surfing or fishing, cyclists can cycle around it completely and for hikers there are several signposted circular routes through the Melzower Forst forest.
