Beautiful log cabin/lodge (3600 square feet) 78 acres with 2 creeks with Mountain, water & pastoral views. 60 wooded acres to hike & enjoy along with thousands of feet of frontage on 2 creeks. The property borders hundreds of acres of conservation land you can enjoy & use. Rockbridge County may just be the most beautiful place on Earth: So much to see and do, and super friendly people too! Even if you don't stay with us be sure to visit for a great vacation; you will be back for sure!
This has been recently purchased and as super hosts that manage several properties, we think we have turned it into an amazing space with leather couches and recliners, and comfortable beds!
Some of these are old pictures from the previous owners as they took some great shots while selling it and we bought the house including furnishings down to art and books. While we have added new art and decorations along with more modern and comfortable beds and furniture we also have enjoyed collaborating with previous owners and incorporating much of their style who were the only owners since the Lodge/House/Cabin was built in 1988.
We have stayed here a lot while fixing the place up and it really is nothing short of a majestic private setting with stunning views.
Description of indoor and outdoor areas.
Upstairs: master bedroom with queen bed, full bed, recliner, and desk and a room with queen and full bed and desk. Downstairs: Bedroom 3: 2 queens. Bedroom 4: a room with queen and a couch with twin trundle and final bedroom downstairs with another twin trundle, 47-inch tv, and 2 bunk beds twin over full so rooms 5-8 in this 5th bedroom as well as a place for kids to connect their electronics to smart tv.
Also along with the massive dining room and living room with no tv, there is a den with 70-inch tv, a pull-out bed, and 2 leather couches. This room is right next to the half bathroom and has a partition you can close to make that a 6th private sleeping room and either sleep on one of the couches or bring your own air bed.
There isalso a newly addedgame room/ garage to (8-foot black diamond pool table, foosball and poker table, rocking chairs, computer chairs with brand new fridge with water and ice)
Finally a wrap-around deck you can walk out of from multiple rooms and doors and has a covered porch to enjoy the mountain, pastoral, and creek views from in any weather with a large covered portion, and in the back a gas grill and stone patio where you can enjoy beautiful flower gardens or walk past to the right to go the pool area and shaded gazebo or walk to the left to reach one of the creeks or go straight to hike the woods. The pool is open and heated to 82 degrees from April 1 - Oct 15.
