A stairway leads up to a loft with two twin mattresses that sit directly on the floor. Summary: The Hideaway is a charming private cottage with beautiful lake views. We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary stay. I would have given it a 5-star rating; however, the cottage is older, with sloping floors. The first night, there was a musty smell. However, we could open the windows on day two, and the smell was better. The bathrooms were small, but the shower was warm and had excellent water pressure. The queen bed was comfortable but so tall that we had to jump into it, but once you were up there, the views of the lake were amazing! The deck also sloped and bounced when we walked on it; however, we enjoyed sitting out there to soak in the last of the summer sun and view the lake. We loved spending time on the screened-in porch. I would not discourage someone from staying here; just be aware that it's an older cottage off the beaten path. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We enjoyed dining in town and exploring the parks. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
