Located Southeast of Cheboygan, Michigan, this lake cottage sits on the pristine Twin Lakes at the foot of Black Mountain. Twin Lakes is designated a Gem Lake by the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council for the purity of our water and is also designated a “No High-Speed Boating” lake. So come and enjoy a quiet, relaxed stay, full of beauty and fun. Fish, swim, boat, and listen to the songbirds, loons, and geese while enjoying a peaceful respite.
We are also located at the foot of beautiful Black Mountain Recreational Area which offers access to over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails for hours of winter adventure. Over 30 miles of groomed Cross-country skiing trails are also available with beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails. The Black Mountain Recreational area also has a 65-acre scramble area and over 60 miles of trails for ATVs, ORVs & dirt bikes. This is also the perfect spot for hiking, bicycling, and hunting with thousands of acres of trailed state land all around. For those who enjoy power watersports, there are many options available, with Black Lake and Long Lake just minutes away.
The house sits on one wooded acre of land populated with white birch, maple, and evergreen trees. Relax on the spacious deck as you enjoy the lake view. Grill on the deck or sit around the campfire making smores and memories. We have 2 bedrooms with a queen and full bed. The living room couch converts into a very comfy queen bed as well, overall, sleeping up to 6 adults. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is fully stocked. For those poor unfortunate souls who must bring work with them, we offer high-speed fiber optics WiFi internet service. Bring your pontoon, canoe, kayak, or paddleboard (just remember not to make a wake). Our dock can accommodate boat tie-ups, fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing in the sun. We also have a canoe available for guests to use.
The area offers many activities and attractions from Mackinaw Island, Mackinaw City, Cheboygan River Front, and downtown, State Parks, Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park, Nicholas's Black River Vineyard and Winery, Rippling Rapids Golf Course, Mullett Lake Country Club and the Chateau at Black Mountain to name a few.
