Positive: We were unexpectedly delighted with the Fairmont Palliser despite its grand size. It proved to be an elegant old fashioned hotel with beautiful spacious public and private rooms and bathrooms. We were upgraded to the gold floor where it became apparent that some people use the lounge facility instead of the restaurant. Filling large plates with snacks and then desserts with wine glasses filled to the brim with wine. All rather gross but if you can overlook the greed of some of the other guests it is a lovely facility and we took advantage of it for a pre dinner drink and breakfast as we were checking out early for a flight. Dinner at the Hawthorne was very good too.
Negative: Nothing. All very comfortable.
