Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Location is excellent: right in the centre of town. Overall, the accommodation is well-sized for six people. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. There was no salt or pepper or any other condiments (we left some behind; hopefully it's still there for the next guests). The bathrooms are good. The beds are a bit small and the duvet for the double bed is definitely on the small side if two people are sharing. The ski room on the ground floor is basically a simple locker. It was a squeeze to fit four sets of skis and two snowboards in there. Impossible if you want to keep your boots in there, too. But your boots won't get dry overnight if you leave them in the locker (after the first night, we carried ours up to the apartment and dried them by the heater).

Negative: The accommodation was great. The management of the accommodation was not. You have to collect the keys from the management office, which is a 15-minute walk up the hill. The accommodation does not come with towels or sheets (this is in the fine print; although, we did not realise when we first booked). You can rent towels and sheets from the management and collect them when you collect the keys. You will also need to return the towels and sheets to the management office at the end of your stay (another 15-minute walk). You can also book a cleaner through the management office for the end of your trip. However, the cleaner won't do everything and some things (kitchen, rubbish) you'll still need to do yourself. Lastly, the management office is not open all day. We were told via email that it would open at 4 pm on the day of our arrival. However, it did not open until 4:30 pm. Once it did open, we were told that its opening hours changed a week or two earlier (evidently nobody emailed us to let us know). Overall, the management isn't bad enough to not stay at Dome de la Cochette (particularly, if you have a car and don't need to walk back and forth from the management office), but the management could definitely be better!
