Welcome to Walker Lake Retreat. We are located in Enumclaw, Wa. - An hour away from Seattle, Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, and Mt Rainier National Park. Perfect for year round activities - skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, jogging, hunting, and more.
Just 8 miles from lots of local restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and wineries. Our cabin is nestled right on the lake with 50' of waterfront and a private dock - perfect for swimming and fishing. We even have a little non-motorized boat that is available for you to use during your stay.
Enjoy picturesque views of Walker Lake and Mt. Enumclaw from almost every window in the cabin. Kick your feet up and relax on the huge back deck, while you take in the views and soak up the serenity. The property is fully fenced and has ample room for parking. There are two fire pits and lots of room for yard games - we provide yardzee, bocce ball, a football, and frisbees.
The cabin features one bedroom with a queen bed, as well as a double sleeper sofa upstairs in the living room. There is also a detached studio with a queen bed. The detached studio does not have a dedicated bathroom, but there are two bathrooms inside the main cabin.
Downstairs is the kitchen, dining, area, coffee bar, laundry, and a bathroom. Upstairs features a bathroom, a bedroom, and a large, open living room area with 3 large lake-facing windows. Up there you will find a cozy couch (with pull out sleeper), tv, fireplace, separate seating area, books, games, etc.
In snowy conditions, it may be necessary to use chains on your vehicle to access the cabin.
Due to the wooded, mountain location, wifi can be intermittent, so if you need a strong signal, able to power multiple devices at all times, this might not be the space for you. Cell service is also limited depending on carrier. Our cabin is best suited for those looking to unplug, unwind, and enjoy some peace and quiet.
This is a quiet lakeside neighborhood. Everyone keeps to themselves and appreciates the quiet and the privacy. We ask that you keep the noise to a minimum and are respectful of our neighbors that live there year round.
HOUSE RULES - Please review all house rules prior to booking. Our rules are in place for our safety and yours. Thanks in advance for reviewing and adhering to these rules. The rental contract acknowledging these rules must be signed within 48 hours of booking.
GUESTS: Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Please do not exceed the number of guests stated in your reservation. Reservations of 4 will have access to the main cabin only, while reservations of 6 will have access to the cabin and detached studio. Bringing more guests than listed in the booking will result in a fine of $100 per extra guest, per night.
EARLY CHECK IN: Check in time is 4pm or after. We cannot guarantee check-in before 4pm. If you would like an earlier check-in time, please message us after booking to see if we can accommodate.
LATE CHECKOUT: Checkout is at 11am. Late checkout may be available with prior approval. If you stay past the 11am checkout time without prior approval, you will be charged a $50 late checkout fee. If checkout has not been completed by 1pm, you will automatically be charged for the daily base rate of the cabin, but will still be required to vacate the premises.
SMOKING/DRUGS: There is no smoking or drugs allowed in the home or on the property.
LAKE: Our cabin is directly on the lake. There is a solidly built and well-maintained staircase leading down to the dock. Please be careful walking down and utilize the hand railing to avoid accidents.
NO GLASS is allowed outside, except for on the back deck. If going down to the water, or utilizing the fire pits, please use the plastic plates and cups provided in the unit. We are not responsible for any accident or injury resulting from the use of the lake.
BOAT: There is a small boat with oars available for you to use during your stay. Please treat it kindly and securely tie it back up when you are finished using it. The oars and the drain plugs for the boat are in the small shed on the dock. Hosts are not responsible for any accidents or injuries resulting from the use of the boat.
FIRE PIT: If you use the fire pit, please make sure that the fire is fully extinguished before going inside for the night/checking out.
QUIET HOURS AND PARTIES: Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Please do not exceed the guest limit listed. No parties or events allowed beyond those celebrated by registered guests only (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, quiet dinner parties, etc.) This is a residential lakeside community and we ask that you respect our neighbors and the property as if they were you own. Enumclaw Municipal Code 5.06 does not allow short term rentals to have parties and also defines quiet hours as 9PM to 7AM.
NO PETS: As much as we love our four-legged friends, this is a pet-free property. Violation of this rule will result in a $500 fine.
NO SHOES/SKIS/SNOWBOARDS IN THE HOUSE: We kindly ask that you do not wear shoes in the house, especially on carpeted areas. There are shoe mats outside both doors, as well as space right inside the front door for shoes, coats, and other personal items. Skis and Snowboards can be stored on the front porch, or the back deck.
HEAT: Please turn off the heat when going out and when checking out at the end of your stay. There is dedicated heat for each room.
SEPTIC: Our cabin is on septic, so please do not flush anything besides toilet paper. Feminine sanitary products should be disposed of in the trash in the bathroom. Please leave the basket strainer in the kitchen sink at all times and only allow liquid down the drain. Your cooperation in this is much appreciated.
PACKAGES: We do not allow guests to order mail/packages to this location for privacy reasons. CLEANING: We ask that you treat our home with the care and respect you would your own. Please pile all used towels in the shower and load dishes into the dishwasher before leaving.

DAMAGES: Please report any damages and/or breakages immediately. Damages exceeding the security deposit amount must be paid by guests and will be reported to VRBO.
PROBLEMS DURING STAY: Should any issues arise during your stay, please reach out to us immediately. We live locally and are available to address issues as needed.
