The Camlachie Beach House is a cosy two bedroom cottage steps from a beautiful Lake Huron beach. Located on a large corner lot at the end of a quiet street, this home is the perfect place for a couple or small family to have a peaceful get away.
Our area has small private beaches that are family friendly, not crowded and within walking distance. Longer and larger beaches such as Ipperwash, Pionery Provincial Park, and Grand Bend are a short drive away.
Newly renovated and fully furnished, our little bungalow is bright and beautiful. You will love cooking in our kitchen and relaxing outside on the deck or by the fire pit!
At just 575 square feet, our cottage is perfect for a couple that would like to share a bedroom or a family with young children.
We have one large master bedroom (180 square feet) with a queen bed and plenty of space for all your things.
The kids bunk room is much smaller (80 square feet) and holds a narrow twin bunkbed and dresser. It’s a tight space, but great if you like a cozy nook. Please note that kids must be at least 6 years old to sleep in the top bunk.
The third sleeping space is a queen size pullout sofa in the living room.
Our driveway is located on Queen Street, right before Maple Street. Look for a large blue sign with the numbers 6902. The driveway ends at the shed. Please do not drive past the shed (stay on the driveway). There’s ample space for up to 3 cars.
There are 3 beautiful beaches within WALKING distance - just 1, 3, and 5 minutes from our home.
Our cottage is 100% self check-in on or after 4pm. Please check your Airbnb messages for your personalized door code (valid only during your stay).
My on-site caretaker will inspect the property daily and is available for on-site questions or concerns. I am available by text or telephone any time.
Our beach house is in a very quiet neighbourhood with many retired residents that live here year round. The landscaping and homes are spectacular! There are 3 beautiful beaches all within minutes... the closest one just steps away from our front door.
We're about 10 minutes away from Bright's Grove and 25 minutes from Sarnia. Bright's Grove has most of the shopping you may need - groceries, LCBO, Shopper's Drugmart, Tim Horton's, and other restaurants.
I would like to reiterate that the second bedroom fits a narrow twin bunk bed and not much more. It’s a tiny space with a big, bright window. Perfect for your kiddos!
The beach changes shape and depth with the tide. It will look different each and every time you visit! Make sure to watch the spectacular sunset.
Pets: One dog is allowed, but please (PLEASE) keep your pet off the furniture and bedding. You are required to vacuum the cottage daily to ensure hair is removed. Extra hair or dog poop left by your pet will result in extra cleaning charges.
Noise: As this is a very quiet retirement community, there is a strict 24-hour no excessive noise requirement. Of course we want you to enjoy your stay, but noise travels and we need to respect the neighbours and their peaceful spaces.
Guests: No unregistered guests are permitted at any time. There is a strict 6 person limit at all times. If unregistered guests are found on the property you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund. Ensure you have provided the complete names of all guests to the host at least one week before your arrival.
Tents/trailers: Absolutely no tents or trailers are permitted on the property at any time.
Parties: Any type of party (loud music, more than 6 registered guests, etc) is grounds for an immediate eviction of the premises without a refund.
Smoking/Vaping: Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the cottage or on the deck. The only area where smoking is permitted is the firepit. Make sure you put all your cigarette butts out and then in the garbage. Do not throw or leave cigarette butts in the fire pit.
