‘Bide a Wee' means to stay a little… or maybe you'd like to stay a lot? The names of the chalets at Riviere Towans have stayed with them over the years, and offer us a little insight in to the original owners holiday experience… Bide a wee is a place from which to enjoy the surrounding dunes and spectacular views across Hayle Estuary towards West Cornwall Golf Course and Lelant Church. From the side view of the property there are glimpses straght across St ives Bay.
Perfectly located for the south west coastal path and the stunning stretch of sandy surf beach which runs from Hayle Estuary all the way to Gwithian. Access to the beach is on foot, and once there you can explore coves, caves, and the fabulous tidal lagoon which forms at high tide opposite Lula's Rib Shack…
Bide a Wee offers accessible dog friendly accommodation for up to 7 guests with 1 double en-suite, 1 double with single bunk and 1 twin room, open plan kitchen and living space and accessible wetroom. Outside seating takes in views across the Estuary.
Linen is not available in this chalet as standard for environmental reasons and reflected in the price. Linen is available through toms if required. We ask that guests either bring their own or contact reception to request this. The supplement for a double is £20 and for a single is £12 (which includes towels). Duvets and pillows are provided as standard.

On level ground, adjacent parking. Distant views over west Cornwall and the golf course. With outdoor seating.

The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.
On the doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian where you'll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams and fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.
For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.
Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall's best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property.
