Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location: The location was fantastic, situated in the heart of everything, making it easy to get in and out. This was definitely a highlight of my stay.
Negative: Security: Unfortunately, the security at the gate was quite lax. They didn't seem to care much about checking who was coming and going, which was concerning. Owner's Communication: I had a bit of a rough experience with the owner regarding an early check-in. I informed her that it was my birthday, but she was quite harsh about needing time to clean. Despite mentioning the occasion, there were no amenities or gestures to celebrate, and I found the place to be not very clean and could have used a dust down and freshen up, to be clear it was NOT dirty. The water pressure was low and in one bathroom we did not get hot water in the other it was only hot water. The alarm for the back door kept going off, but the owner did make herself available to help us turn it off and provide the Wi-Fi information. While she was responsive when needed, it felt like her heart was not fully into being a host. Wi-Fi Issues: We faced issues with the Wi-Fi for the first two days as the codes provided did not work. After making a complaint, we finally learned how to access the Wi-Fi, which was frustrating. Laundry Facilities: I was surprised to find that using the washer came with an additional charge, and there was no dryer on-site. Overall Comfort: Overall, we were comfortable during our stay, but I wouldn't say it's a place to hype about. It felt more like being at home rather than a vacation rental. Pool Access: The pool was a decent 10-minute walk away from the property, but unfortunately, it was dirty, and we couldn't swim in it.
Summary: While there were some positives, there were also several areas that need improvement.
